Invisalign and Clear Aligners in San Antonio
Removable clear trays that straighten teeth without brackets. We offer Invisalign, SureSmile and our own in-house aligners.
Three aligner systems, one orthodontist planning them
Clear aligners are a series of custom trays. Each one moves your teeth a small amount, you wear it for the prescribed period, then swap to the next. There are no brackets and nothing is bonded to your teeth.
We are not tied to a single brand. Depending on your case Dr. Cochran may recommend Invisalign, SureSmile, or our in-house aligners, and he will explain why one fits your bite better than another rather than defaulting to whichever is easiest to order.
Aligners only work while they are in your mouth. Most plans need 20 to 22 hours a day. If that is unrealistic for you, fixed clear braces will get you a better result, and we will say so.

Common questions
Invisalign, SureSmile or in-house aligners, what is the difference?
They are different manufacturing and planning systems for the same idea. Invisalign is the best known, SureSmile adds digital wire and tray planning, and our in-house aligners are made on our own workflow which can be more cost-effective for straightforward cases. Dr. Cochran matches the system to the case.
How many hours a day do I need to wear them?
Most plans call for 20 to 22 hours a day. Aligners do nothing sitting in a drawer, so honest self-assessment here matters more than almost any other factor.
Can aligners fix my bite, or only crowding?
Aligners handle a lot more than they used to, including many bite corrections. Some cases still get a better, faster result from fixed braces. You will get a straight answer at the consultation.
Is treatment more expensive than braces?
Aligner treatment usually sits above metal braces and near ceramic. The same payment plans apply, from $149 a month with 0% interest financing for up to 30 months.
